Welcome to my website, bienvenido.

Originally from La Mancha, I have lived and studied in my homeland, Spain, as well as in Italy, Mexico, and the U.S. I love to ride my bicycle and travel. I also enjoy live-music concerts, cooking for friends, and going on a hike. I teach and I write.

I earned a B.A. in Spanish Philology (with a focus on Literature & Linguistics) at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (Spain, 2006). Later, I received my M.A. in Creative Writing at the Scuola Holden (Italy, 2009), and later I completed a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies at the University of Kentucky (2015).

Currently, I am proudly working as an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University, department of World Languages and International Studies, providing instruction to a multiethnic, multiracial, multinational student body.
